Nick Ace P.I.
In a Case of Fowl Play

March 26 -- May 16, 2007

"Nick Ace P.I. in a Case of Fowl Play" hit the stage with new adventures including some additional music. It’s a classic 1940’s style private detective show where you "hear" the P.I. think, a murder mystery/comedy with music that takes place mostly in the ritzy Albatross Club where every one is a suspect. Plenty of fowl, er foul play, twists, turns, music and fun!

A dedicated, very talented cast made this production a real treat!! A couple of stand-outs... A tiny 10-year-old girl named Katie Law-Gotich was certainly one... Remember that name, we’ll all say we knew her when. At just 42 pounds, she played a street-wise newspaper kid with a voice big enough to fill any room. And sing! ... Wow! Once audiences recovered from being stunned (it’s true) by her talent, they couldn’t get enough of her after the show... touching, hugging, kissing her on the cheek. There’s even a better upside to this. Katie’s parents make sure she’s well grounded, still a "kid."

Another bright spot was Jack Rhodes who portrays a hard-boiled somewhat shady L.A. cop... Funny thing is... He’s chief of staff a prosecutors office. This quiet , unassuming, gentle, kind man turned in a performance that left audiences howling with laughter. A sidebar: At one performance, we had prosecutors from Dakota County and Washington County in the audience. (Our public performance fundraiser was very successful.)
